About

Soundings is a notebook about music, listening, practice, and the small discoveries that emerge from spending time with instruments.

It gathers notes from continuing guitar and ukulele projects, reflections from the studio, observations about learning and musicianship, and occasional essays prompted by records, performances, or conversations. Some entries are little more than sketches; others may develop into longer pieces. All are part of an effort to understand music by engaging with it.

Like any notebook, this is a working place rather than a finished one. It is where ideas are tested, techniques are examined, and questions are left open long enough to become interesting.
